Tips To Avoid CPU High Usage State 

CPU high usage state occurs due to number of reasons. If you are running multiple multimedia applications simultaneously, CPU will get loaded and enter in high CPU usage state.



The main reason for this problem is nothing but running multiple application at a time.To avoid this, please follow the following conditions.

These are some of the conditions when high CPU usage state will occur.



1)If your computer is running on battery, you may get CPU high usage state. Operating system polls bios for the power status. If it does not get the power status, it continuously polls it in a loop. This loads the CPU. This problem can be solved, by upgrading the latest service pack for Windows 2000 operating system.

2)When Windows 2000 server gets multiple connection requests on port 445, CPU loading increases. In single CPU computers when CPU gets multiple connections, it is loaded to 100%. However this problem can be solved by installing latest service pack.

3)If you are running avi files, then you may face CPU high usage problem. However this problem is solved by removing the appropriate registry key. You have to be extremely careful while removing the registry key.

4)Multimedia applications like Macromedia Director, flash, shockwave are designed in such a way that they utilize full power of CPU. These applications does not prevent other applications from running. When other applications are not running, these applications run. This process increases the load on CPU till it is loaded upto 100 %. As these applications run when the other applications are not running, the total CPU loading is up to 100 percent.

Install latest service pack

To avoid CPU high usage problem, you can consider following guidelines. From above examples, it is clear that it is generally recommended to run single application at a time to reduce the CPU loading. Also install latest service pack. This helps to solve the problem.
