Microsoft Power Point Viewer

The Microsoft Power Point Viewer allows you to view the Microsoft Power Point files without power point program. This specially useful for the people who use Power Point to share their presentations with people who do not have Power Point installed on their computers. When you upload presentations on the net, you can include the Microsoft Power Point Viewer to expand your online audience who may not be having PowerPoint program, or to those with different versions. You can use this viewer to view files created in both Power Point for Windows® and Power Point for the Macintosh.

Some of the following Power Point 2000 and 2002 features are not supported by the viewer

You can view and print presentations, but you cannot edit them in the Power Point Viewer. The Power Point Viewer supports all Power Point97 and Power Point95 features.




  • Picture bullets
  • Automatic numbering
  • Animated GIF pictures
  • Microsoft Visual Basic® for Applications (VBA) controls
  • ActiveX® controls are not supported by the viewer.

Following Features are supported by Power Point viewer

Provides full fidelity display of Power Point97 files, including the animations, graphics effects, action settings, hyperlinks, and custom shows.

Opens presentations saved in Power Point for Windows 2.0 or later and Power Point for Macintosh 3.0 or later.

Supports printing of Power Point presentations.

Allows printing and password protection for kiosk-style slide shows.

In addition to running as a stand-alone application, Microsoft Power Point Viewer is optimized for displaying Power Point presentations inside Microsoft Internet Explorer. Also the Power Point presentations can be displayed within Netscape Navigator.
