How to work in safe mode for Windows 2000 ?The diagnostics mode of Windows is also known as SAFE MODE. If you want to run the specific components loaded in operating system then start the computer in Safe mode. But for that you have to sacrifice some functions such as Internet connection, resolution and icon locations etc.
You cannot able to connect your computer to the Internet while it is in safe mode. Also it loads a standard video driver at a low resolution hence your programs and the Windows desktop may look unusual. It also reshuffles the locations of the icons on the desktop. Windows also supports several Safe Boot options, which load a minimal set of drivers. With these options you can start Windows so that you can modify the registry and load or remove drivers.
