New Solution to Get rid of Spam 

Spammers have found new way of writing spam. Now they are writing the emails with harmless plain words and phrases. These emails are free from spam-sounding keywords. Hence intelligent spam filters can not detect this type of emails. And spammers are winning the war against intelligent spam filters. They get through the filter network easily with this trick.

One of the solution for spam is to charge the mail sender some money. But the major problem is currency, collection of money etc. The Microsoft chairman Bill Gates suggested this solution.

Put some delay between 2 successive emails 

Spammers are sending millions of mails per hour. Let us imagine a system which will introduce a deliberate delay of say 20 seconds between 2 successive emails. With this system, you can send maximum 3 emails in a minute. So you will be able to send maximum 180 mails per hour. As spammers need to send millions of mail, this method will limit their mails and ultimately stop the operation. The simple answer to complicated spam problem is slow down the mail server at sender's end. This is the solution targeted toward the mail sender.

As the receiver based solutions like Intelligent spam filter are not fool proof, we will have to implement sender based solution to attack the spam. The simple and ultimate solution is slow down the mail server. It is like a queue system which requires finite amount of processing time before it serves next customer. This is the way of taxing the email marketing companies.

Let spammer pay for email 

In physical world, we have to pay for postage stamp before sending the snail mail. Imagine a situation where you don’t have to pay for stamps. The snail mail is free. In this situation, direct mailer companies will simply send the mails to all the consumers. This is what is happening in case of email. The email sender is sending the emails free of charge.

Hence the simple solution is slow down the mail server at the sender end and control the outflow from the server.
