Remove drm from wmv

DRM is an acronym of Digital Rights Management. DRM helps to protect the interest of legal music rights. DRM prevents the illegal download of music. The idea behind it is genuine but not practical because if you don't have a DRM capable MP3 player, you may not able to download the legal music at any cost.

Protect Copyright

DRM is also described a set of technologies that content owners can use to protect their copyrights and stay in touch with their customers. DRM encrypts digital media content and allows access to license holder only. It means that DRM is a technology that enables the secure distribution and sale of digital media content on the Internet.

It is impossible to remove the DRM from protected files you have downloaded from a P2P network or other computer unless you have license to use it. When a user plays protected content without a license the URL with license acquisition stored in the content header appears. The player sends a license request to the license provider's Web page, which includes the entire content header and some system information.

Verify Key ID

Here the key ID is extracted for verification. Then encryption key is generated to get included in the license. It helps the license provider to determine which rights to approve so that a license user can use the content.
