Trojan Ransomware: Hi-tech technique of collecting ransom 

Virus writers and hackers are getting smarter. Why are they doing it? Some of the hackers have developed new type of virus, which encrypts the files on your computer. Then they send you e-mail or note asking for money. If you don't give money, you will get your files. If you give them money, they will decrypt the files. This is like asking ransom for your goods. Hence the name of virus is ransomware.

Example of ransomware 

PGPCoder was one such ransomeware discovered in may 2005. Websense Security Labs found it. This virus was designed with the motive to scramble user's files, then demand a money for their decryption. In this new method where your computer data is at stake and hackers want money to resolve it. The security companies are warning against this new threat.

The offline method of stealing is used online. There quite a few programs found online but this trend may increase in future. Such type of threats was detected in Connecticut, USA. This type of threats will be used to block large corporation computer data. But you don't know, hacker may attack your pc also.

How to get protected from ransomware? 

The only solution is to keep the backup of data regularly. Install good anti-virus program. You can also install good firewall. Please don't open the auspicious E-mails and file attachments.
