what is ransomware?
Virus writers and hackers are getting smarter. Why are they doing it? Some of the hackers have developed new type of virus, which encrypts the files on your computer. Then they send you e-mail or note asking for money. If you don't give money, you will get your files. If you give them money, they will decrypt the files. This is like asking ransom for your goods. Hence the name of virus is ransomware.
